Things to see and do around the campsite
The stunning variety of the Loire Valley
Listed a UNESCO world heritage site for its exceptional wealth of cultural attractions, the Loire Valley really does have something to offer everyone.
There is so much to see in the western Loire Valley
The town of Saumur itself has a wealth of highly varied attractions to offer including its celebrated Cadre Noire riding school which trains some of the best riders in France, its imposing château overlooking the River Loire and the wide range of cultural events and farmers’ markets which are organised throughout the year.
This event celebrates one of the region’s most unusual and emblematic attractions: the undergrounds caves and troglodytic dwellings which played a large part in the Loire Valley’s listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A little further afield, of course, there is a whole host of other stunning Loire Valley attractions for you to visit including the royal abbey at Fontevraud, Doué Zoo and the Château de Brézé – all unmissable experiences.
